LADIES ROOM PLEASE!

Something funny....!!!! While I was in St. George, we went to a dollar movie. Before it started I wanted to hurry and go to the Ladies room. So I went... and then came out to wash my hands, I saw a.....a...man? then, this is the conversation that went on outloud and in my brain...
outloud, but quiet..."oh!"
thought process... "It's a man!"
then,
outloud, but quieter still... "oh!"
thought process... "just look down, it's just a manly looking lady, just shut up, you almost blew and said something, whew! (walking to the sink), but wait, she has on a baseball cap and REALLY short hair!"
then,
HE looks at ME while washing his hands and says,"OH!... looks like I'm in the wrong bathroom! I was wondering why there weren't any urinals in here!"
We bothed laughed and finished washing our hands and went back to the movie! (he was in the same movie I was!) funny, funny, funny!

Paigeeee!!!! 15th birthday!!

Ah Paige...
SWEET ADORABLE KIND FUNNY LOVEABLE BEAUTIFUL Everybody that knows Paige, says all those things about her and more. She is the fourth daughter in our family and has 3 big sisters to look up to. As for fillling their shoes, she will have no problem. She is just like they are. She is the kind of girl that you want to be around. She has a calming affect on you. She is mild mannered and even tempered, although in the last year or so I have heard many people, young and old alike that say, "Oh my gosh, Paige is so funny. She really made us laugh." I got to see that side of her last year at girls camp. What a riot she can be! She is so creative. She is always making something, sewing a purse, making jewerly, hair bows, etc. She knows how to dress so cute and fix her hair so adorable. She has so many friends because she is so kind and thoughtful. She wouldn't hurt a flea. She has a stalker at school. He is a sweet handicapped boy that follows her around everywhere. One day she didn't go to school. He stood by the Seminary door waiting and waiting for her to come. The Seminary teacher finally had to say "Come sit down Lehi, she's not coming." She is an example to all her friends as a righteous young woman. One year I got her some barbies for her birthday. She was in her room about an hour later changing their clothes. I asked her why, she said because they were dressed immodestly. Here are a few pictures of her 15th birthday. breakfast in bed
(a Meacham tradition, she wanted German pancakes and fruit) morning presents to open a "score cake" that Mallory made for her. presents from Mal from Cas
and from Megan
(she made the paper crane mobile, Paige loves to make them too)
Paige, you are the sweet daughter that I still get to have around,
sandwiched in between two boys.
I am grateful to have you in our home and in our family.
The Lord really blessed us when he sent you to us.
I remember the day you were born. You never left my side.
The warming bed was in my room, the nurse weighed you there and tended to your needs there in my room.
When she was ready to bathe you she said come watch this. She was done bathing your body and had you wound up tight in a blanket. She took you to the sink and turned on the warm water. She then stuck your head under the faucet and let the water run on your head. Then she put on some baby shampoo and gently washed your head, then put your head back under the faucet and just let the water rinse and run on your head as she moved you around to get all the soap out. You loved it and you slept through the whole thing. You were unruffled by the disturbance from your sleep.
It was soothing and calming to you. It was so fun to watch that.
You bring sunshine and happiness to all those who know you,
and to me!!!
I love you!!!

Easter Fun!

I LOVE EASTER!!!!!
We have taken on a tradition that was done in Jay's home growing up. We hide the Easter baskets in the house...in the dryer, in the closets, in the shower, oven, etc. It's fun. Past years we have even sent them on wild goose chases, looking for their baskets. We had 2 teams and gave them clues, like a scavenger hunt. They had to go all over the place looking for there baskets.
One year we tied string to each basket and hid it, then we took that ball of string, each a different color and strung it everywhere, through trees, cars, mailbox, fence, throught the house, down the stairs, back outside again and so on. They each had their own color string and they all started at the same spot but they all went in different directions climbing over each others strings until all the string was wound up and they each found their basket.
Some times the true meaning of Easter gets lost in the excitement of baskets and prizes and candy but we all know in our family what the true meaning is... it is of the sacrifice of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Without him we would not be able to be ressurected, be forgiven and be with our loved ones forever. I am so grateful for the knowledge that I have and for the testimony which I have been blessed with.
I am so grateful for my children, for the good kids that they are, for the two great son-in-laws I have, for the choices that they have made and are making, and for their desire to do what is right and live the gospel.
AND....I am so grateful for GRANDBABIES!!!! Holy Cow!!! They are so fun and make everything a little sweeter when they are around!! Can't wait for more and more and more!

Mega,Mega,Megan

I love this picture of Megan and Caden. It shows the happy couple that they are...
they are perfect for each other!!! (Caden I love you!)
This is my late birthday tribute to my 3rd born daughter...
MEGAN.
Megan has been happy from the day she was born!!!! I used to spend alot of hours doing hair when she was the only one home. She would sit in the other room playing with her toys for hours and would never cry or whine...probably because she was a happy and content girl. She learned to play the violin, one of the hardest instruments to learn. She has been entertaing us for years. I love to listen to her play. It takes patience and long hours of practice so alot of people give up on it but not Megan...probably because she is a happy and content girl. People are drawn to Megan. I have had friends tell me, "We gave Megan a ride home, and she just talked and talked to us. She is so cute, not like the typical teenager." She can carry a converstion with anyone, anytime and anywhere and make them feel like she has known them for ever. She is a born leader...probably because she is a happy and content girl. When she lived home, (which I will never forgive her for leaving so soon) I always knew when she was home or not because she would sing and sing and sing...(loved it!) probably because she was a happy and content girl. Megan is a peacemaker. She had so many friends and kept the peace between them all, you know how dramatic girls can get. She was a peace maker at home as well... probably because she was a happy and content girl. It's not surprising to anyone that she and Caden found each other. They are so much unlike. He is such a happy guy and of course since she is a (you guessed it)... happy and content girl, they were attracted to each other. She has a testimony of the gospel and shows it by her words and her deeds. She is an example to all those around her and isn't afraid to tell them how it is. She is has a light about her which is...probably because she is a happy and content girl.
SHE KNOWS WHO SHE IS AND SPREADS THAT LOVE
TO ALL SHE COMES IN CONTACT WITH!!!
Megan, I love you and am so grateful for you. You have brought me and all those who know you so much joy! I am excited for the new little one coming into our lives. I hope she is just like you!! She will be loved!!! with all my love, Mom
